NorthPoint's Cloud research consisted of approximately 75 in-depth
executive interviews covering 70+ Fundamental Business Cloud Activities.
These sessions have provided us with insights to the real Cloud
opportunities that organizations can leverage. The most
significant include changing customers' business model in areas such as
supply chain to provide significant new competitive advantages.
Obviously, based on our research Cloud Computing is clearly much more
than a new low cost, high performance technology. However, the
results also clearly showed the customer knowledge gap that much be
overcome before organizations modify their business models.
